Tall Ships are the traditional sailing ships with square and/or fore-an-aft rig. There are more then onehundred sail raining ships all around the world. Most of them are waiting for the young (and little bit older young) people – not taking care their age, sex, nationality or social background.
Everyone can sail – even without sailing experience!
The first initiative has mady by Hungarian Adria Association in 1911. That sail training ship with barquentine rig was then thwarted by World War I.
One hundred years later, the sail training ship plan is developed by S.A.L.T. Hungary again. The plans of the traditional, classic style ship that meets the requirements of the age are on the desk of our naval architects.
The first Hungarian sail training ship is named after the ancestor of the Hungarian nation. He was Magyar, son of Nimrod. According to tradition, 1000 years ago, the sons of Nimrod, Magyar and Hunor, led our ancestors to the Carpathian Basin following the Wonder Deer .
